Biofranca Trans Technology Limited is a Kenyan-based company dedicated to environmental sustainability through the construction and installation of anaerobic digesters. Our innovative digesters utilize human waste, cow dung, pig waste, and market waste to produce biogas, a clean and renewable energy source primarily used for cooking. The byproduct, a nutrient-rich liquid fertilizer, supports sustainable agriculture and greening initiatives. We serve individual homesteads, schools, institutions, and urban slums, offering affordable and sustainable energy solutions. With over 300 domestic digesters, 15 school digesters, and 5 biocenters installed, we have impacted thousands of lives by reducing reliance on firewood, cutting carbon emissions, and promoting proper waste management. Biofranca also emphasizes youth employment and capacity building, training technicians in biogas technology and engaging local labor in construction. Through partnerships with GIZ, SNV, and Architects Without Borders, we enhance technical expertise, participate in Results-Based Financing (RBF) programs, and explore innovative financing models such as our upcoming "pay-to-own" initiative to improve accessibility. With a strong track record, 13M KSH in annual revenue, and growing recognition in the renewable energy sector, Biofranca continues to scale operations, attract funding, and drive sustainable energy adoption across Kenya and beyond.
